The Devicescape management team has deep experience in the device software, consumer electronics and networking industries. The company's executives have held senior positions at leading technology companies, such as Dolby Labs, Marimba, and Wind River Systems.

David Fraser

Chief Executive Officer

David Fraser came to Devicescape from Wind River Systems, the leading company in embedded platforms, operating systems and development tools. At Wind River he held a variety of executive positions including CMO, Senior VP/GM Product Business, VP/GM of Networking and VP of Engineering. In these roles he was instrumental in driving the company through industry-changing milestones including the release of many award-winning products, the transition to subscription business models, and ultimately the embrace of Linux.

His previous experience over a 20-year career include marketing and engineering positions at Unisys/Convergent, Hewlett-Packard and Racal Electronics. David received a BSc (Honours) in Computing Science from Glasgow University, Scotland.

Barry Jahansetan

Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer, Barry manages all Finance, Legal, Human Resources, and Administration for Devicescape. Barry has over twenty years of experience in the financial management of both public and private companies in Communication, Security, and Enterprise software. Companies where Barry has held senior management positions include Saba Software, StrongMail Systems, Intoto, Fortera, Sonopia, and Castelle.

Simon Wynn

Vice President, Products

As vice president of products, Simon Wynn brings over eighteen years of industry experience building and leading successful development organizations. Most recently he served as vice president of engineering at Centrata. Prior to Centrata, Simon spent six years at Marimba in a variety of positions, most recently as vice president of engineering and customer support. At Marimba he was responsible for all aspects of the company's engineering operations, including financial planning, staffing and product development processes, including the successful acquisition of Marimba by BMC Software. Prior to Marimba, he worked in the new media, groupware and application server divisions at Oracle Corporation, and prior to Oracle at Dolby Laboratories Inc.

Simon received a Bachelors Degree with Honors in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the University of North London.

Bill Leslie

Vice President, Service Providers

Bill brings to Devicescape a wealth of knowledge in next generation networks as well as legacy fixed and mobile networks. Prior to joining Devicescape, Bill was Founder and CTO, and ultimately CEO, for LongBoard, Inc., a supplier of Fixed-Mobile Convergence and IP Centrex solutions to the world's leading service providers. During his time with LongBoard he was a recognized an industry leader in the development of Voice over IP and Fixed-Mobile Convergence solutions. He also developed significant partner and customer relationships while driving global business development and European sales activities.

In a career spanning more than 25 years, Bill has also held executive, technical and marketing positions with Magellan Networks Systems, SynOptics, StrataCom, NEC America, ROLM, Motorola and ITT. Bill received a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Hatfield Polytechnic (University of Hertfordshire).

Kathleen Shanahan

Vice President, Corporate Marketing

As Vice President of Corporate Marketing, Kathleen oversees Devicescape’s communications strategy and marketing campaigns from PR to direct email and more. She has more than 15 years of experience in the industry and a proven track record of results. Her experience, market expertise and track record help her position Devicescape within the marketplace and drive towards delivering business value. In parallel of her Vice President of Corporate Marketing role at Devicescape, Kathleen is founder of BOCA Communications, a boutique marketing communications agency out of San Francisco and New York City.

Prior to Devicescape and BOCA Communications, Kathleen worked at leading PR firms such as Blanc & Otus, Eastwick Communications and Schwartz Communications. She represented the likes of Ariba, BEA Systems, Borland, Devicescape, MCI, Motive, Narus Software and Persistence (Progress). She also held a senior level position at Wind River Systems (NASDAQ: WIND). Kathleen oversaw C-level corporate communications and product publicity throughout the United States, EMEA and Asia/Pacific. She also managed agencies around the world to drive results that mapped back to Wind River's business goals.

Kathleen received a double bachelors from the Univerisity of California at Berkeley in Art History and History.
